Welcome to the TMCA Lone Star Chapter!

The mission of the Lone Star Chapter shall be to:

  • Promote the improvement of the office of city clerk/secretary at the local, state, and national levels

  • Develop standard procedures with our members

  • Promote wider city consciousness concerning the importance of the municipal government and its operation, with particular reference to these services and facilities administered by the city clerk/secretary

  • Mentor new city clerks/secretaries

  • Provide assistance, support, and fellowship to one another

The Chapter works hard to accomplish this mission through regularly scheduled Chapter meetings, Chapter committee activities, Chapter educational programs, other educational opportunities related to the municipal clerk’s office, encouragement and support of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association, Inc. (TMCA) and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), and networking among Chapter members.
